We have ensured healthy indoor air through our buildingmaterials and design. The cabins feature wooden, breathable walls, naturallycomfortable indoor humidity, and a high-quality ventilation system. Allsurfaces and furnishings are free from harmful chemicals and unnecessaryplastics, supporting a clean indoor environment.

Why don’t weprovide real candles in our villas?

For safety and clean indoor air, we do not use real candlesin our cabins; instead, we provide LED candles and other flameless options.

Open flames from candles are a common cause of house fires,and burning candles indoors releases fine particles and chemical compounds thatcan irritate the lungs, eyes, and airways and reduce indoor air quality.

Why do we have electric saunas and bio-fireplaces in thevillas?

We do not burn wood in our cabins in order to maintain cleanindoor and outdoor air and to keep the winter snow white.

Wood smoke contains fine particles, soot, and chemicalcompounds that can stay in the air of well-insulated winter homes and irritatethe eyes and respiratory system. In winter, soot from wood burning also settleson the surrounding snow, leaving grey or black stains.

For those who wish to experience a traditional Finnishsauna, we have one wood-burning sauna located separately from the mainresidence, and it is used less frequently than the saunas in the villas.
